ASSITEJ Belgium

ASSITEJ Belgium unites artistic ensembles, individual artists, programmers and other professionals working in performing arts for young audiences in the three Communities in Belgium. Together with some one hundred other countries, ASSITEJ Belgium is a member of the international ASSITEJ network, which stimulates worldwide exchange and cooperation in the field of the performing arts for children and young people. ASSITEJ also promotes the right of children and youth to culture.

In 2019, ASSITEJ Belgium is organising a Year of the Performing Arts for Young Audiences with assorted activities that support, challenge, highlight and make accessible Belgian (performing) arts for children and young people. This year’s festivities will close with the Barak Belgique performing arts festival.
